The Ganderton Law Justice & Advocacy Scholarship was created to invest in the next generation of advocates. We’re looking for students who share our belief that every person deserves to be heard, protected, and treated with dignity. Whether you’re pursuing a career in law, criminal justice, social work, public policy, or any field driven by a desire to make a difference for others, this scholarship is aimed at you.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the Ganderton Law Justice & Advocacy Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Currently enrolled in, or accepted to, an accredited college or university
Pursuing a degree in law, pre-law, criminal justice, social work, public policy, or a related field
A resident of Colorado or attending an accredited Colorado institution
Able to provide a current resume and proof of enrollment or acceptance

How to Apply

Eligible students must submit the following materials to be considered:

Essay (1,000–1,500 words): Tell us about a time you stood up for someone who couldn’t stand up for themselves, or describe a cause you believe deserves more advocacy. How has that experience or cause shaped who you are and where you’re headed?
Proof of enrollment or acceptance at an accredited college or university
Current resume highlighting academic achievements, work experience, and community or extracurricular involvement

The Why Behind This Scholarship

Firm founder David Ganderton’s path to personal injury law began with a single moment, hearing a prosecutor speak about fighting for victims and knowing immediately that it was the work he was meant to do. That clarity of purpose has guided every case he’s taken since.

We believe that kind of conviction can be sparked anywhere. For David Ganderton, it was a classroom. A guest speaker in an undergraduate course set him on a path he has never looked back from. This scholarship exists to support students who have found their own spark, wherever it came from, and are dedicated to pursuing it.
